Ian Scott

Ian is a Chartered Planner who leads and assists on a range of projects for public and private clients in almost all sectors across Scotland, England and Wales. He joined Ryden’s Planning Team in Aberdeen in July 2019 whilst finishing his studies in MSc City Planning and Real Estate Development at the University of Glasgow. He has since graduated with distinction and was the top of his class, winning several academic awards. Previously, Ian was a planning officer at Aberdeenshire Council.

PROJECTS:

The University of Edinburgh and Heriot Watt University Led and assisted business partners with various improvement projects for universities in the City of Edinburgh. This has included landscaping and cycle infrastructure at Heriot Watt University's campus at Riccarton and a number of projects in the regeneration of the University of Edinburgh's King's Buildings Campus.

Land Promotion in Aberdeen City and Shire Promoted a number of housing developments in the North East of Scotland for various clients. This has included the promotion of development sites during public consultations on behalf of Stewart Milne Homes, Scotia Homes, Drumrossie Homes, Dunecht Estates and the University of Aberdeen, as well as several other landowners and developers.

Site Appraisals in North East Scotland and the North of England Provided site appraisals with policy analysis for input to property sales, leases and valuations led by our teams in Aberdeen, Leeds and Manchester. This has included sites in Aberdeenshire, Moray, Angus, County Durham, Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Cheshire and Staffordshire.
