The winners of the annual Scottish Property Awards, which recognise excellence in Scottish commercial and public real estate, were announced last night in Glasgow, with Ryden named at the top of the Industrial Agency Team and Office Agency Team of the Year categories.

The first live Scottish property industry’s largest awards competition in almost two years welcomed over 650 guests. It made 18 presentations to commercial and public property and retail, office, and care homes developments.

Ryden eclipsed rivals Allied Surveyors, Avison Young, Colliers, JLL and Savills in the Industrial Agency category. At the same time, in the Offices Agency Team of the Year Award, Ryden beat Cushman & Wakefield, Avison Young and JLL.

Other winners included 177 Bothwell Street by HFD Group, taking home Development of the Year for Commercial Building, presented by Ryden’s Regional Managing Partner Arron Finnie. Buchanan Wharf by Drum Property Group also received the Regeneration Project of the Year Award.

The ultimate individual award for Business Leadership was presented to James Barrack, founder of Knight Property Group. He was commended for his contribution to Scottish real estate, business and local communities.

Alan Gilkison, Head of Agency and Development at Ryden, commented:

"We are extremely pleased to have won two agency categories at the Scottish Property Awards and to be recognised as market leaders by our peers. It's testament to the hard work carried out by our people in what have been difficult times for everyone.

"It was also great to see award wins for some of our key clients and for landmark projects which Ryden has helped deliver."

The Awards were judged by an independent panel of 20 industry experts and professionals who assessed and deliberated over 60 entries in 16 categories this year.
