December is when we celebrate our first anniversary as a B Corp property consultancy.
This year we’ve reduced environmental emissions by over 20%, smashing our 10% per annum target.
Certifying as a B Corp has helped us put systems in place to measure scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions and identify the right policy and procedure improvements to make an impact.
These include our responsible procurement policy, rules around efficient business travel, staff training in sustainable property consultancy and contributions to local community impact initiatives.
Our people have got involved and we are proud of everyone who freely gave their time and expertise. Their commitment has seen an increase of our total volunteered hours to over 500 in 2025.
To round off our first B Corp year, each of our offices is donating to local community projects who support children, young people and families living in hardship. In Glasgow we became secret santas giving toys and games to Kids in Mind. In Edinburgh we’re sending festive PJs and sweets to LIFTs and in Aberdeen we’re delivering Christmas hampers to Somebody Cares for their foodbank appeal.
Ryden is one of over 100 B Corps in Scotland and was the first full-service property consultancy to be certified.
B Corp is a growing movement which uses business as a force for good and recognises the importance of people and planet as well as profit.
