Rating Surveyor

Central Belt - Scotland

We are seeking an experienced rating surveyor to service instructions predominantly across the Scottish central belt. We are happy to consider flexibility in terms of location and hours.

Position and salary will be commensurate with experience and expertise.

Key responsibilities

To service existing Running Roll appeals for non-domestic properties.

To investigate Rates Mitigation and Rates Management opportunities for existing and new clients.

To target existing and new clients to secure and service rating instructions for the Rates Revaluation 2023.

To keep up to date with evolving rating legislation and to offer tailored expert advice to clients.

To join an established team handling valuation and lease advisory caseloads and to cover the rating specialism predominantly across the Scottish Central Belt whilst complementing the service offered in the North of Scotland.

Attributes and skills

MRICS qualified.

Must have a good understanding of non-domestic rates and have worked within that sector.

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Diligent and well organised.

Proactive self-starter who can work independently whilst forming part of a larger team.

Willingness to embrace prop-tech solutions.

A great team member and colleague.

Full driving licence to facilitate property inspections where public transport is not an option.
