Planning Consultant

Edinburgh/Glasgow

We have opportunities in our Edinburgh and Glasgow offices for qualified Town Planners (MRTPI or MRICS) as well as potential roles for more experienced Planners/Senior Planners looking to progress their careers.

You will work with colleagues advising on development strategies and securing planning permissions for a wide client base, on a variety of complex and sensitive projects in both urban and rural areas across Scotland. There will be the opportunity to work with our market leading research team with whom we work closely on a variety of property and land use research consultancy for both public and private sectors.

You should have an interest, understanding and knowledge of the Scottish Planning System, a confident approach to client service, an ability to work independently, and be organised.

You should also have an eye for detail and accuracy and be able to provide clear and concise written reports in plain and simple English.

Ryden strives to create a dynamic, engaging and collaborative working environment for all of our team, because we firmly believe that our people are crucial to the success and growth of our business.

We want to give you the tools to be the best you can be. Our benefits include a competitive basic salary, discretionary bonus, private health care, pension contribution, generous holiday allowance, access to 24/7 counselling through our employee assistance programme and daily support and guidance. A car allowance is available for more senior appointments.

We know the world of work has changed and we want to ensure that there is a balance. Culture is important to us and nothing beats face time with our colleagues, but we are actively promoting different work patterns that work for our teams both personally and professionally.
