We are currently recruiting for an Architectural Technician / Technologist to join our leading Building Consultancy team in central Scotland

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a high quality and successful market facing team and help to manage our instructions and ensure excellent outcomes for our clients. The role is ideally suited to someone with the ability to work on their own initiative within a team environment and who will possess excellent IT and communication skills, along with a valid driving licence. Project and Building Consultancy is a substantial part of the Ryden business, and the opportunity for the successful candidates to work as part of multi-disciplinary teams within Ryden will also be a key feature of the role

The successful Architectural Technician will be working with and reporting to an Associate Partner, on a wide variety of commercial projects - Ryden is a multidisciplinary real estate consultancy which brings a wide range of project types, sizes and opportunities

The role provides the successful individual with the opportunity to build and progress their knowledge within a number of different projects.

On a day to day basis you will be working with AutoCAD - it is advantageous to also have a working knowledge of Revit.

Position Overview

  • Working on a variety of commercial property projects across central Scotland with occasional UK wide travel
  • Strong understanding of construction design, detailing and Scottish Building Regulations.
  • Working knowledge of Revit along with a high level of competence working with AutoCAD
  • Work on projects from feasibility/planning stage through to completion
  • Help in preparing and producing technical tender documents
  • Create engaging designs that exceed the project brief
  • Living in or near the Edinburgh/Glasgow area
  • Experience within a similar consultancy will be helpful
  • 2 years+ compatible experience
  • Highly motivated with an excellent work ethic
