About the Role

Ryden has established a Graduate Apprenticeship programme as an alternative route to obtaining a degree and establishing an exciting career within the commercial real estate market. This is a great opportunity to study while earning a salary.

We are recruiting a Building Surveying Apprentice within our Aberdeen office. 

The successful candidate will combine work experience with study towards a professional surveying qualification with the aim of becoming a fully qualified chartered building surveyor. You will join the Building Consultancy team, assisting the team on client and site visits.  Your work will include tasks such as carrying out inspections, collecting and recording data relating to land, buildings or construction for technical use.

In partnership with Robert Gordon University, the candidate will obtain an honours BSc degree in Construction and the Built Environment (Building Surveying). This will involve a combination of remote and in person learning delivered by RGU, in conjunction with on the job training within the Ryden business. The course is fully funded.

Requirements

  • Four Highers (3B & 1C grades) with Nat 5 (minimum C grades) in English and Maths OR a Modern Apprenticeship/HNC in a related discipline.
  • Demonstrable interest in a career in the property industry
  • Good time-keeping and time management
  • Strong work ethic
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • IT literate with a working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Have (or currently gaining) a full drivers licence
