John Smith

John has 25 years' experience in security and facilities management and is Ryden's Head of Facilities Management. He is responsible for the co-ordination of Health and Safety policy across each of the five Ryden offices. He is also responsible for facilities management and Health and Safety implementation within the managed portfolio. This includes supervision of Ryden approved contractors, maintenance management, co-ordination of health and safety works, undertaking tenders, regular site inspections, project management etc.

John is a NEBOSH Qualified Advisor in Health and Safety and Fire Risk Management, obtained the FDIS Diploma in Fire Doors and has attended various courses run by the Fire Protection Association. The most recent one being Advanced Fire Risk Assessment Course. John undertakes CPD on a regular basis.

Facilities Management Working on a mixed portfolio of buildings for a range of clients, including: Buccleuch Property, Silverbank Development Co Limited, Freshwater Group, The Princes Trust and Bigg Regeneration Limited.

Compliance & Project Management Responsible for ensuring properties are compliant with all current Health and Safety Legislation and that all contracts are in place allowing premises to run smoothly and be maintained to a high standard. Liaison with tenants on any issues arising and provide project management of works as required. Undertake tender exercises and organisation of Approved Contractors.
