Neil is a commercial property Chartered Surveyor with over 30 years' experience. Specialisms include industrial agency, motor trade and the development sector.  He has a broad base of clients with the majority of his instructions being within the Central Belt of Scotland.

EXPERIENCE

Disposals or Acquisitions

The majority of Neil's work involves the disposal or acquisition of commercial properties, mainly industrial.  The properties can range from 1,000 sq ft to 380,000 sq ft at J4M8, now leased to Amazon. Clients include Schuh, Scotmid, Esson Properties, Muir Group, Aberdeen Standard, J. Smart & Co (Contractors) plc, Logicor, CalaChem, Catalyst Capital and Fife Group.

Neil was Costar's Most Active Agent within the Industrial Sector in 2017. As part of the Industrial Agency team, he has also received the following awards:

Motor Trade

Acting on behalf of the landowners Neil was actively involved in the marketing of land and thereafter securing deals for 3 new car showrooms (Mercedes, Porsche and Jaguar/Land Rover) at Newcraighall in South East Edinburgh. 

Also acted on behalf of the property owner of a showroom on Gorgie Road which is now leased to Frasers of Falkirk. The property was thereafter sold as an investment.

Development

Provision of development advice mainly within the industrial sector but also for mixed use sites. This includes the initial site identification, appraisal, layout consultation and subsequent marketing and disposal, on the basis of both leasehold and freehold completed properties.
