Ryden's Planning team has recently submitted a further planning application on behalf of The Angus Venture Ltd to Angus Council for detailed planning permission for a major golf resort in Angus.

The development, set within 300 acres of land, includes a major international 5* Hotel with Spa and Lodges, Darren Clarke Championship Golf Course, Golf Academy, Clubhouse and 160 residential units (including affordable housing) at Mains of Omachie, Wellbank.

The project represents one of the most significant hospitality investments in Scotland in recent years. Once it's operational, it could mean a substantial economic boom to the local economy, generating more than 300 full and part-time jobs, with further additional employment positions during the construction and development phase.

It is expected that Angus Council will make a decision on the plans in early 2022.

Team: 3DReid (architect), The Paul Hogarth Company (landscape architect), Ryden (planning consultant), RSP (MEP engineer), CPC Project Services (principal designer), CPC Project Services (project manager/QS), Fairhurst (transport consultant).
