Independent commercial property consultant strengthens Scottish operations following LSH Group investment.
Ryden is adding 15 LSH professionals to its Scottish offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen. This follows the transfer of Ryden’s English offices to Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH), part of a wider investment by the LSH Group of Companies earlier this year. The combined Scottish business will trade as Ryden and remains an independent LLP.
The focus of the 130-strong firm will be the Scottish market with linkages throughout the UK. UK-wide mandates will be delivered as part of the LSH Group of Companies. Both Ryden and LSH have set ambitious growth targets based on future collaborative working, further investment and innovation.
Current Ryden projects in Scotland include Dundee Waterfront, EDI Approach, the regeneration of Ravenscraig and Clyde Gateway, the Health Innovation Hub in Govan and ongoing energy transition developments around Aberdeen.
Alan Gilkison, Ryden Managing Partner, said
“Ryden continues to operate as an independent firm headquartered in Edinburgh. Our expansion plans centre around Scotland’s most dynamic and ambitious industries whilst continuing to excel and grow in our core property markets. Renewables, data centres, high-value manufacturing and the expansions of our ports and harbours expertise offers a wide rage of opportunities to contribute to the Scottish economy.
By incorporating LSH Scotland I believe we have the strongest Management, Valuation and Building Consultancy offering in Scotland. This, combined with our existing market-leading Agency and Investment teams, puts us in a fantastic position to accelerate growth.”
Neil McVicar, Head of LSH Scotland, added
“We are really looking forward to working with our new Ryden colleagues. There are over 15 professionals joining from LSH Scotland who each bring considerable experience in their own field.
Our strengths lie in Property Management, Building Consultancy, Lease Advisory and Valuation which complement Ryden’s existing expertise and strong transactional teams to provide clients with a complete service. There are exciting opportunities to explore for the combined businesses in Scotland.”
Ryden is widely recognised for its expertise in buying, selling and letting commercial property. The firm also has well established advisory teams including Valuation, Property Management, Building Consultancy, Project Management, Research and Planning.
Ryden operates as a sustainable, purpose-led business and was B Corp certified in December 2024.
