Scottish Pub Sales

  • A flurry of activity within the pub sector in Scotland has seen us sell six pubs across the country in deals worth almost £1 million.
  • In Edinburgh, these include Cooper’s Rest at Easter Road, Albion Bar at Albion Road and the Old Ship Inn in Port Seton, all sold for Punch Taverns.
  • The new owner of the Old Ship Inn has mixed-use plans for the site, including a takeaway/restaurant and drive thru, three houses and a stand-alone business unit.
  • Further north, pubs were sold in Fife, Aberdeenshire and Inverness. All are to continue trading as public houses.

Omni Centre, Edinburgh

  • We are the sole letting agent of the Omni Centre in Edinburgh, owned by Aviva Investors Property Trust, which combines a cinema and gym with restaurants and bars.
  • The focus has been on promoting the centre as the top food destination in Edinburgh to large operators.
  • Most recently we let 1,059 sq m to pan Asian restaurant chain Cosmo and 372 sq m to Nando’s.
  • We have also negotiated a lease regear for expansion plans for one of the centre’s largest tenants, The Glasshouse Hotel.
  • Our deal sees an additional 30 years being added to the lease length and the development of 12 new bedrooms.
