Stephen has been employed in Ryden’s Glasgow office since graduating from the University of Paisley in June 1999. He began his career with Ryden in the Agency and Development department and moved to the Property Management department after achieving Chartered status in October 2001. He has been involved solely with the Glasgow Professional department since January 2003 and was promoted to Senior Surveyor level in June 2005 and Associate in June 2007.
Stephen provides a broad client base with advice on all aspects of property valuations, landlord and tenant matters and rating.
Corporate clients include University of Glasgow, Caledonian University, Glasgow Housing Association, First Group and Scottish Power.
Valuation of assets for clients for loan purposes of major clearing banks and other lending sources such as Lloyds Banking Group, Royal Bank of Scotland, HSBC and Santander.
Asset Valuations for clients including Glasgow Regeneration Agency, Highlands & Islands Enterprise and Silverbank Developments Limited.
Landlord & Tenant
Preparation of pre-negotiation reports, inspection and measurement of properties and analysis of lease documentation and relevant market evidence. Stephen has acted on behalf of both landlords and tenants in rent review, lease renewal and lease extension matters with referral to third party determination if required in the case of rent reviews.
Rating advice, including carrying out revaluation and running roll appeals for clients including Scottish Midland Cooperative Society, VION Food Group and Speyside Distillers.
