Ryden sells Dovehill Arms in West Lothian

11th April 2017

Ryden’s licensed and leisure team has sold the Dovehill Arms public house at 18-20 West Main Street, Uphall, West Lothian on behalf of Punch Taverns.

The long established local community pub was sold around the asking price of £165,000 to a local publican who owns two other public houses in Edinburgh and the Lothians.

The Dovehill Arms extends to 175 sq m (1,887 sq ft) and following a renovation two years ago was converted into an open plan bar with DJ area, dance floor and a quiet seating section.  It occupies a prime main road location and is surrounded by residential accommodation as well as shops and offices.

Commenting on the deal Andy Macpherson, Licensed Trade consultant at Ryden said: “It is great to see this establishment purchased by a local publican. In the short term he will continue to lease the pub to the existing Punch Taverns tenant with a view in the longer term to undertake further refurbishment and take over the bar operation.”
