Mallzee, one of Edinburgh’s fastest growing technology companies which offers a shopping app commonly described as the 'Tinder for fashion’, has signed up to lease the 5th floor of Hayweight House at 23 Lauriston Street, Edinburgh.
Property Consultant Ryden secured the deal on behalf of the landlord SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health), agreeing a five-year lease for the 3,229 sq ft open plan office.
SAMH occupies the first floor of the building and is delighted to welcome the team at Mallzee to Hayweight House. Mallzee has already supported SAMH by attending the charity’s recent black tie dinner with SAMH ambassador, Sir Chris Hoy.
Hayweight House has recently undergone refurbishment to provide modern open plan accommodation and is located only a short distance from major office locations such as Saltire Court, Quartermile and the Exchange District.
Cameron Whyte, surveyor at Ryden, said: “We are delighted to have secured Mallzee at Hayweight House. It was a win-win situation as SAMH was willing to relocate from the 5th floor of the building, which offers fantastic views of the city centre, to the larger first floor that we were marketing in order to accommodate Mallzee and in turn provide additional space for SAMH’s operations in the Edinburgh area.”
Callum Stuart, Chief Operations Officer at Mallzee, commented: "We are delighted with our new offices and the facilities, not to mention views, which they provide. With hundreds of thousands of customers throughout the world, millions of products being 'swiped' and over 150 retailers featured on the app - our new premises will help us continue to grow our team and offering to remain at the forefront of the m-commerce revolution.
