The National Health Service is the latest high-profile organisation to announce a move to Aberdeen’s prestigious Marischal Square.
In total, 115 National Services Scotland (NSS) staff will occupy 10,000 sq ft on the fourth floor of the 1MSq building in Broad Street. NSS provides support and advice to NHS Scotland to help deliver services more efficiently and effectively.
Aberdeen City Council co-leader Douglas Lumsden welcomed the news: “It’s good that another tenant has been confirmed and it will add to the vibrancy of what we are trying to create in the city centre.”
Stephen Turner, regional director, Scotland, at Muse Developments, said: “Marischal Square welcoming another prestigious tenant further enhances the development which is revitalising the east end of the city centre.
“With additional office occupiers set to be announced in the coming weeks and five of seven retail spaces occupied, we believe Marischal Square is delivering for everyone involved.”
Arron Finnie of Ryden added: “This deal demonstrates that Marischal Square is already established as a fundamental development for the city of Aberdeen, providing the best work environment for any organisation and contributing to a positive long-term impact on the economy of the area.”
CBRE acted for the NHS; Ryden and Savills represented Marischal Square project partners Muse Developments, Aberdeen City Council and Aviva Investors.
