New tenants branch out at Rosewell House

Joint agents Ryden and Cushman & Wakefield have signed up two new tenants, Scottish Electric Group and Clark Contracts, at Rosewell House, Connect Business Park in Newbridge, Edinburgh.

Dundee-based Scottish Electric Group has expanded its operations into the Lothians by taking 1,400 sq ft on a 5-year lease at £15.00 per sq ft in the building. The mechanical and electrical contractor has secured significant contracts across Central Scotland over the last six months and this has created a number of new positions and requirements for local labour.

Managing Director at Scottish Electric Group Mike Thomson said: “After an extensive search of the market, we identified Rosewell House as the ideal property to facilitate our expansion. The combination of high quality offices and excellent links to the Central Scotland road network made it an excellent fit for our business needs”.

Meanwhile, Paisley headquartered building contractors Clark Contracts has expanded within Rosewell House into a 2,500 sq ft suite on the ground floor to meet demand for its construction, refurbishment and maintenance services. It has taken a  5-year lease at £15.00 per sq ft.

Gordon Cunningham, Managing Director at Clark Contracts added: “Our East of Scotland business has expanded significantly since moving into Rosewell House meaning we have had to double its size for the second time in 18 months. We have found the building an excellent fit for our operations and it was the logical choice when considering expansion options”.

Situated beside Scotmid’s headquarters in Newbridge, Rosewell House is aimed at businesses seeking quality offices with access to the airport, Edinburgh city centre and the central belt motorway network.
