Harris Lamb and Ryden have been appointed as property management partners in the Midlands and North respectively for a £500m-strong multi-let industrial portfolio.
Acting on behalf of Industrials.co.uk, a joint venture between Morgan Stanley and C2 Capital, the businesses are spearheading the drive to help establish the new platform, providing specialist market and property management knowledge. Both firms also acted in an investment agency and advisory capacity on the initial acquisitions of three estates on behalf of Industrials.co.uk.
Peter Wood, Head of Investment at Harris Lamb’s Birmingham Office, and previously Investment Director of Industrious, said he was delighted that the business had already been able to secure three multi-let industrials estates to help launch the platform.
"Harris Lamb and Ryden will continue to work with the Fund as it grows offering it agency and property management expertise in line with its ‘tenant friendly customer focused ethos’," said Peter.
"This is an ideal opportunity to work with some old colleagues from my days at Industrious where we built a really successful business. The intention is to do the same again and capitalise on a market that we see has plenty of opportunity, and where Harris Lamb’s specialist knowledge and market coverage within the Midlands can help deliver this new UK industrial platform."
Ryden and Harris Lamb have provided The Ross Portfolio – three estates located in the East Midlands and comprising 148,665 sq ft across 47 units.
Matthew Edwards from Ryden added: “I am pleased to have worked with Harris Lamb in securing these assets for the fund and to again be involved in building a large industrial portfolio across North England and Scotland.”
C2 Capital, a fund management house established by Julian Carey in 2009, will be leading the activities of Industrials.co.uk, initially as an external asset manager, with a view to growing it into a standalone business in due course.
The intention of the company is to grow into a £500m UK-wide multi-let industrial platform, with a focus on acquiring individual estates and portfolios from £2m and above.
