Demand continues for Edinburgh’s traditional office space

29th September 2015

Ryden has completed three townhouse office deals in Edinburgh’s city centre within a matter of days.

For landlord Fletcher Jones, Ryden signed up Shiells Solicitors & Estates Agents at 12A Castle Terrace.  The legal firm has taken 539 sq ft of ground floor space on a three-year lease and joins existing occupier SALT Language School.

At 11 Castle Street, the property consultancy has let the 990 sq ft second floor office to QED Naval on behalf of the landlord, London & Sterling.  The marine renewables specialist signed a three-year lease at the former Northern Rock office.

Finally, patent and trade mark attorneys, HGF Limited has taken 835 sq ft on the second floor at 28 Walker Street, resulting in the building now being fully let.  A four and a half year lease was agreed with Ryden advising landlord Ardenmuir Limited in the deal.

Cameron Whyte, surveyor at Ryden, commented: “We continue to see an increasing number of townhouse offices in Edinburgh being sold for conversion to residential and as such supply of traditional townhouse office space in the city is reducing.”
