Fiona Morton Awarded IPF Life Membership
02 March 2010
At the recent Investment Property Forum (IPF) Annual Lunch in London it was announced that Fiona Morton, managing partner of Ryden, has been awarded life membership, an honour bestowed upon only a small number of senior professionals across the UK for the major role they have played in the body over the years, and for endeavours and significant contribution in enhancing the forum’s reputation.
Life memberships are awarded only occasionally, and to individuals who have made an outstanding and sustained contribution. There are just 18 IPF life members including the two awards made this year; Ian Womack of Aviva Investors was also honoured.
Peter Pereira Gray, IPF Chairman and Managing Director, Investment Division of The Wellcome Trust, said of the two new Life members: “Ian and Fiona have made a huge impact on the IPF and the wider property industry, both during their period as former Chairmen of the IPF and IPF Scotland respectively and since then. The awards recognise their enormous contribution.”
Of her award, Fiona said: “It is a great honour to be recognised in this way. I am a great believer in providing professionals working in the property investment markets across the UK with access to top quality analysis on topical issues and to encourage innovation and best practice. It is rewarding and stimulating to work with like minded people to progress the objectives of the Forum for the benefit of the industry.”
Fiona is director and member of the IPF UK Management Board since 2002. She is also a member of the board in Scotland and held the post of chair of the IPF Scotland from 2002 until 2009.
