100% Occupancy at Lyneburn Industrial Estate

25 February 2010

On behalf of landlord PCM Properties, Ryden has let the three remaining units at Lyneburn Industrial Estate, Halbeath Place, Dunfermline to FMC Technologies.

FMC Technologies is a world leading provider of technology solutions for the energy industry and industrial markets and has taken the units, totalling 40,378 sq ft, on a five-year lease at an undisclosed rent. The firm has taken the space in order to establish a new Weld Fabrication facility.

PCM purchased the estate in 1995 and subsequently divided the original building into nine units, extending to a total of 106,400 sq ft, and undertook extensive internal refurbishment. Other occupiers at the estate include Watson Bookmakers, Energy Zone Gym, Sterling Furniture and Fife Autocentre.

Andy Callan, Managing Director of PCM Properties, said: “It is great to see heavy engineering back on a site that was built for that purpose in 1970; Parson Peebles was the first occupant before it was bought in 1975 by TK Valves. FMC has made a significant investment in equipment and has brought a highly skilled and motivated workforce to Lyneburn.  Our Engineering company has enjoyed a long association with FMC at their Pitreavie factory and I hope to see them on our site for a long time.”

Alan Herriot, Associate at Ryden, added: “I’m delighted that Lyneburn Industrial Estate is fully let and this substantial letting shows that despite the current economic climate there is still activity within the manufacturing market.”

Cushman & Wakefield acted on behalf of FMC Technologies.
