- Advised Q Hotels during the acquisition of the 12 hotels in the Marston Group.
- Provided pre-acquisition building survey advice including inspecting and reporting on all of the premises.
- Managed the input of all specialist consultants during the due diligence process. The properties ranged from the Grade 1 listed Crewe Hall to the year old Nottingham Belfry.

- Undertook a pre-lease inspection and reported on condition of premises and service charge/common areas expenditure.
- Negotiated with landlord’s agents for completion of outstanding development works and monitored completion.
- Undertook a comprehensive search of the office market, looking at existing and future developments in the Edinburgh area with a scoring system applicable to criteria attached to each building.
- Prepared a shortlist of suitable properties and, after inspections, entered into negotiations on a number of buildings to create a competitive situation.
- Project managed the tenant’s fit-out (circa £1,000,000).

- Acted as Project Manager for the fit-out of the space including interface with landlord’s works.
- Provided input with regard to completion certificates and making good defects.
