Hydrasun’s Links Place Premises go on Market

15 April 2010

Ryden has been appointed by Hydrasun as sole marketing agent for their 31,494 sq ft premises at Links Place in Aberdeen, following the firm signing up (represented by Ryden) to a new build, £12 million headquarters facility at Aberdeen Gateway, Altens.

The premises at Links Place, on the market to lease, comprise three modern detached warehouse units with office space, car parking and yardage; currently used by Hydrasun for hose integrity management operations, umbilical manufacturing and storage.

Units F, G & H Links Place extend to 13,629 sq ft, 8,107 sq ft and 9,758 sq ft and can be taken at a rental of £114,000, £81,250 and £80,000 per annum respectively.  Hydrasun is seeking to assign their present leases.

The properties are in excellent decorative order throughout and are located in a good harbour/city centre location with secure external yard areas.  Occupiers in close proximity to the premises include Langstane Press Ltd, Aberdeen Fabrication Ltd, Nomis Shipping and Wolseley UK Ltd.

A ground breaking ceremony was held at Hydrasun’s new headquarters at Aberdeen Gateway recently.  The premises, which have a completion date of December, will provide 72,000 sq ft of workshop accommodation and 22,000 sq ft of office space.  This is one of the largest industrial transactions in Aberdeen in recent years.

Paul Richardson, Associate at Ryden, commented: “We are delighted to be part of Hydrasun’s relocation to Aberdeen Gateway. It is an excellent move for the firm as it will allow them to consolidate their operations into one building.  We anticipate strong demand for their existing modern industrial premises at Links Place, and this is already evident as we’ve only just started marketing and have received interest from numerous indigenous operators seeking prominent, ready-to-move-into buildings.”
