William Hill takes a flutter on Nicolson Street

On behalf of a private landlord, Ryden has signed up one of the UK’s top bookmakers, William Hill, at 84 Nicolson Street, Edinburgh.
William Hill, represented by Culverwell, has taken the 1,633 sq ft former Victoria Wine outlet on a long lease at £26,000 per annum.
Will Biggart, surveyor at Ryden said: “We received around 70 enquiries from both local and national retailers into this unit. As one of the best known names within its industry, our client is delighted that we ultimately signed up William Hill, and with the long lease length that we agreed. I’m betting that the bookmaker will trade well from this location.”
He added: “Nicolson Street is a premier secondary location that has experienced rental growth and largely been unaffected by the recession.”
