Ryden finds right fit for Boddy Language

10 March 2011

Holistic health and fitness consultancy Boddy Language has opened its first stand alone studio at 54 Timberbush, Leith, Edinburgh.

Acting on behalf of the studio, Ryden negotiated a nine-year deal with landlord Avonpeak Ltd to let the entire 1,000 sq ft retail unit at a rent of £10,450 per annum.

Will Biggart, surveyor at Ryden said: “Boddy Language has been operating out of Edinburgh Leisure centres since 2009, but as a result of increasing customer numbers and desire for an exclusive, private space required its own premises. I’m confident that their new studio will be a great success, especially considering that there is currently no other training studio in Edinburgh providing the same level of expert health and fitness advice and training equipment that Boddy Language has to offer.  Also, Timberbush is an ideal fit for the practice due to its easily accessible and vibrant location with excellent public transport and parking.”

Boddy Language will offer corrective exercise coaching, in-depth physical and lifestyle assessments, lifestyle coaching and remedial massage therapy.  Boddy Language follows the CHEK (Corrective High-performance Exercise Kinesiologist) principles of exercise and lifestyle coaching and owner and fitness coach Ash Boddy is currently the only CHEK Level 1 practitioner in Edinburgh.  A CHEK Practitioner is one of the finest and most highly trained exercise therapists in the world. The CHEK Practitioner specialises in the whole human being as a holistic entity incorporating the mind, body and spirit.

Ash Boddy from Boddy Language commented: “The acquisition of this property allows us to provide something not currently on offer in Edinburgh at the moment: an alternative, exclusive, non-intimidating environment for people to learn how to exercise safely and effectively. It also allows us to develop our business and provide a more professional service.  Ryden not only helped us find the ideal property, but also ensured that this was an affordable process for our business at this time in our development. Their professional advice and guidance was imperative to the success of securing the ideal premises for our studio”.

Edinburgh Commercial Property represented the landlord in the deal.
