Planning permission secured for £2m extension to Croft Myl
9 November 2011
A planning application to extensively refurbish and expand CFK Development’s prominent Croft Myl office building on Savile Park Road in Halifax has been given the go ahead by Calderdale Metropolitan Council.
The £2m project has been designed by The Harris Partnership, and CFK plans to expand and extensively refurbish the office to a high modern specification, incorporating a new double height entrance foyer, comfort cooling, lift, WC and stairwell. The development will provide an additional 9,830 sq ft of office space on the top floor, bringing the building’s total accommodation to over 29,490 sq ft over three levels. Once complete the premises will be unrivalled in the town, offering one of the largest floor plates within a HX1 postal address.
Ryden and Walker Singleton are joint letting agents for the office space, which is available to buy or lease. Opportunities for bespoke floorplates are available by way of flexible lease terms.
David Heap, partner at Walker Singleton commented: “This is excellent news for the property and area. We foresee demand for such high quality office space and in light of the building’s location within the heart of the business community, proximity to the Lloyds Retail Banking HQ, Halifax train station and local amenities, I’m confident that we will secure new occupiers.”
