Planning for the future at Ryden

16 June 2011

Ryden partner John Findlay has taken over as head of planning at the property firm. In his expanded role, John will lead business development and manage the planning teams across the country from his base in the Aberdeen office.

David Tough takes up a consultancy position and remains an important member of the Ryden team. David has been based in Edinburgh for over 20 years and will continue to deal with a wide range of existing projects whilst growing the client base in Central Scotland.

In the Aberdeen office, Catherine Thornhill has been promoted to Associate, and Senior Planning Consultant, Claire Smith, returns from maternity leave to strengthen the team.

This has enabled Jade Scott to relocate to Glasgow to support the changes within the team and service the growing workload in that office. Jade will also continue to be involved in a number of projects in the North East while helping to build business in the central belt.

John Findlay comments: I look forward to a new challenge and growing our client base across the country. We have a very strong team across Scotland and are in a good position to address clients’ requirements as the markets improve and as development activity increases. We hope to strengthen our teams over the coming year as our workload increases.”
