Hydrasun marks move to new HQ with deal at old premises
09 March 2011
Hydrasun has moved into its new £12 million purpose built headquarter facility at Aberdeen Gateway, Altens and, helping to mark the successful relocation, the firm has just announced that it has a new tenant at its former Links Place premises.
On behalf of Hydrasun, property consultant Ryden sub-let Unit H at Links Place to Well Technology Group which is expanding its operations into Aberdeen. The well engineering company has taken the 9,758 sq ft modern detached warehouse with office and secure yardage at a passing rent of £80,000. The lease expiry is April 2023.
Units F (13,629 sq ft) and G (8,107 sq ft) currently remain available at Links Place and both properties are in excellent decorative order and are available at a passing rental of £114,000 and £81,250 respectively. In addition to Well Technology Group, nearby occupiers include Langstane Press Ltd, Aberdeen Fabrications Ltd, Nomis Shipping and Wolseley UK Ltd.
Paul Richardson, associate at letting agent Ryden noted: “Hydrasun has only just vacated their premises at Links Place and the interest that we have received has certainly been greater that we anticipated. In fact it is so strong that we expect to be announcing further lettings for the remaining two industrial units shortly.”
He added: “Currently in Aberdeen there is a shortage of good quality industrial stock with secure yardage and with rising demand for industrial space this situation is only going to get worse. “
Hydrasun’s Links Place and King Street premises in Aberdeen became too small for the firm following its successful business strategy leading staff numbers to almost double to 450 members over two years.
Well Technology was unrepresented in the deal.
