27,000 sq ft sold at Claymore Drive for £2,156,000

22 November 2011

Ryden has sold a modern industrial unit with offices at Claymore Drive, Aberdeen Science & Energy Park, Bridge of Don, Aberdeen for £2,156,000.  Ryden was instructed by Weatherford to sell the premises as the company relocated from Bridge of Don to their upgraded facility and new offices at Kirkton Drive in Dyce, Aberdeen.

The property at Claymore Drive extends to 27,113 sq ft and was purchased by Carnegie Developments Ltd, who in turn let the premises to Read Well on undisclosed terms.  Read Well, which provides niche products for well construction, drilling, completions and well intervention services, required additional warehouse and office space as a result of expansion.  The firm has existing accommodation nearby at Claymore Avenue, which has recently been put on the market.

Other occupiers within the park include Vetco Gray and Equalizer International Ltd.

Paul Richardson, associate at Ryden said: “We received a high level of demand for the premises and our client was pleased that a purchase price was agreed within such a short marketing period. This demonstrates that there is a strong demand for quality industrial stock in the Aberdeen market place.”

Knight Frank acted on behalf of Carnegie Developments.
