Three further deals done at Northpoint, Hillington and more to come

Ryden, on behalf of Affinity Property Partners LLP, has announced a further three transactions at Northpoint, Hillington Park, Glasgow. Red Torpedo, Clydeside Surveys Ltd and a private investor have alltaken space, resulting in six completed deals and the 85,000 sq ft development now being 22% occupied since practical completion in January 2009.
Red Torpedo, which is relocating fromGlasgow City Centre, has signed a new 3-year lease on a 1,882 sq ft unit.
Hydrographic survey specialist, Clydeside Surveys, has purchased a unit, also of 1,882 sq ft, and is relocating from Kilmacolm.
The third unit, extending to 1,877 sq ft, was acquired by a private investor.
Kevin Gallagher, Director at Clydeside, commented: “The main reasons we picked Northpoint were its location, appropriate size and the fact that it has high roller doors. We were looking for a unit to house our survey vessels, but one that could also be used as an office. Although the floor area is around 1,900 sq ft, we still had sufficient room to allocate an area of around 260 sq ft to an office. Another advantage of this development is the height. This gives us scope for future vertical expansion if required.”
Northpoint provides 85,000 sq ft of flexible business space across 27 units. The units, some with their own secure yards, are available in a range of sizes from 1,876 sq ft to 9,500 sq ft on a sale or lease basis. Internally, professional fit out options are available. The development is ideally located as it is adjacent to Junction 26 of the M8, offering easy access to Glasgow International Airport, Glasgow City Centre and the rest of Scotland.
