Ryden sells prime Dundee site

Ryden, on the instructions of The Joint Administrators of Duncarse Riverside Ltd, is delighted to announce the completion of the most significant residential land sale so far this year in Dundee.
The land is the former Homebase store site at Riverside Drive, close to the city centre, and was sold to local developers H & H Properties (UK) Ltd. The 2.7 acre cleared site has planning permission for a development of 202 flats.
Andy Boal, of selling agents Ryden, reports: “The site generated a significant level of enquiries, despite being marketed during a very challenging economic period. The completion of the sale is encouraging news, indicative of the purchaser’s confidence in a very high profile Dundee site.”
Duncarse Developments was established in 2000 and was involved in creating bespoke residential property developments in and around Dundee. The company entered into administration in November 2008. Earlier this year Ryden acted in the disposal of three other Duncarse sites and currently has two remaining assets, a residential development site at Liff and the former Tay Rope Works at Magdalen Yard Road in Dundee’s west end, under offer.
