Ryden appointed as advisers to Newtown St Boswells development

Livestock auctioneers John Swan and Sons plc has appointed Ryden to act as planning advisers on their new retail and auction mart development on the east side of the A68 at Newtown St Boswells, Roxburghshire.
The proposals have been approved by the Scottish Borders Council and Ryden will be advising on the next stages of the project.
Ryden is also currently advising John Swan and Sons plc on the redevelopment of their existing mart site located in the centre of the town.

David Tough, Planning Partner at Ryden, agrees: “To achieve the best outcome for Swans it is essential that the development of both sites is considered. We look forward to extending our role to maximise the opportunities for the company and the town. Newtown St Boswells is to be expanded and the town centre regenerated in proposals in the Scottish Borders Local Plan”.
