Pilgrim Systems extend stay at Commercial Quay

26 August 2009

Ryden, on behalf of M7 and GE Real Estate, is pleased to announce that software company Pilgrim Systems Plc has agreed to extend the lease on their 6,374 sq ft head office at Commercial Quay in Leith.

Iain Taylor of letting agents, Ryden, commented: “The decision by Pilgrim Systems to extend the lease on their head office at Commercial Quay is a real shot in the arm for the Leith business community.  Commercial Quay remains one of the principle business locations in Leith and we are pleased to retain one of the key occupiers in the local area.”

Neil McConnachie of Eric Young & Co who acted for Pilgrim added: “We undertook an extensive search for new premises for Pilgrim Systems which included considering premises in West Edinburgh, however, it was decided that remaining at Commercial Quay offered the most cost effective solution for our clients.”

Commercial Quay is a substantial 85,000 sq ft mixed-use property situated off Commercial Street in Leith.  The building, a Grade B listed former bonded warehouse, provides restaurant and retail premises at ground floor, with three upper levels of office accommodation offering a variety of suite sizes, and is home to occupiers, including Campbell & Arnott Architects, Cisco Systems, Paterson SA hairdressing and award winning Michelin-starred restaurant, The Kitchin.

Ryden and DTZ acted as joint letting agents on behalf of M7 and GE Real Estate. Pilgrim Systems Plc was represented by Eric Young & Co.
