ING celebrates Queens House Refurbishment with New Letting

14 September 2010

On behalf of ING Real Estate Investment Management (“ING REIM”), Ryden and joint letting agents GVA Grimley, are delighted to announce the conclusion of a further phase of refurbishment carried out to Queens House, 19-29 St Vincent Place, Glasgow.

A comprehensive refurbishment has taken place within the No. 29 building to extensively refurbish the common parts and vacant suites, further enhancing the building’s reputation as a prestigious address for professional occupiers.

Despite challenging market conditions, ING REIM’s faith in the refurbishment has resulted in an immediate letting to DPP, the town planning consultancy.

DPP has leased suite 5/6 (1,150 sq ft) on a new 5 year lease at a rental of £15 psf.

Katherine Sneeden, Associate Partner within the consultancy, said “the suite was very attractive to us as it is newly refurbished, bright and modern with great views over Glasgow.

It is very important for us to continue to be located in the city centre close to our clients and contacts and this is a fantastic office environment”.

Prior to the letting concluding to DPP, ING REIM successfully negotiated new lease extensions to tenants APL and Buchanan Roxburgh Limited who have now both committed longer term to the property.

Jay Cable, Director at ING Real Estate Investment Management comments on the recent refurbishment and letting activity as follows:

“We are delighted to let suite 5/6 of Queens House and to retain existing key tenants. We believe this is a testament to the quality of the extensive refurbishment work undertaken.”

A range of fully refurbished suites from 600 – 2,000 sq ft are available to lease within Queens House.  For further information on the available accommodation, please contact either joint letting agents Ryden or GVA Grimley.

DPP were advised by Gillian Rooney, Cushman Wakefield on the acquisition of their new premises.
