Done deal at Dunalastair

08 Decem ber 2010

On behalf of Romulus Real Estate Ltd and Remus Films Ltd, Ryden has let unit 1, Lancaster Avenue, Dunalastair, Newhouse to tyre recycling firm Graffian Rubber Ltd.

The modern industrial unit extends to 30,110 sq ft and was let on the basis of a new 10-year FRI lease at a rent of £135,495 per annum. The premises will be used to produce crumb rubber from waste tyres for a variety of commercial uses.

Gregor Harvie, senior surveyor at Ryden said: “The industrial market in Glasgow continues to show resilience, with a high number of requirements. However, the lack of speculative development over the last two years is adding pressure, particularly in the medium to large sized market where demand is strong, but there is limited supply of modern buildings in good locations.  The deal at Dunalastair shows that the right building, at the right size and in the right location will find an occupier.”

Graffian Rubber joins nearby occupiers Organon, WH Malcolm, Grattan and Honeywell.

Graffian Rubber was not represented in the deal.
