
Acquisition of Sainsbury’s on George Street, Glasgow

A private investor, represented by Ryden, has purchased the Heritable Interest in the Sainsbury’s supermarket located near to Strathclyde University at 135-145 George Street, Glasgow for £865,000. The price paid reflects a net initial yield of circa 5.1%.
The 3,563 sq ft property is let to Sainsbury’s until January 2025 at an initial passing rent of £46,500 per annum with geared RPI uplifts at the five yearly rent reviews.
