New Boutique to Open on St Mary’s Street

Acting on behalf of the landlord, Ryden has secured a new tenant for 20 St Mary’s Street in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town. Neil Doig, a 22-year old entrepreneur from Edinburgh, has taken the 805 sq ft retail unit on a 9-year full repairing and insuring lease at £12,000 per annum with one month rent free.
Neil Doig, with support from the Princes Youth Business Trust and Business Gateway, is launching his first retail venture, State of Mind; a streetwear, sneaker and urban lifestyle boutique with brands from New York, Tokyo & London. The shop opens on 1st April.
William Biggart, of letting agents Ryden, said: “We received a good level of interest in the space and have achieved a good deal for our client in the current economic climate.” He added: “State of Mind is a great addition to St Mary’s Street as it adds a new element to the current retail offering.”
