Former James Laurie nursery at Perth Road, Dundee sold

Acting upon the instructions of Rob Caven of Grant Thornton UK LLP, joint administrator of Signature Homes (Scotland) Limited (In Administration), Ryden has agreed the sale of a prime residential site at Perth Road, Dundee to a private developer client of Rettie & Co.
The 1.1 hectares (2.272 acres) site, which has planning consent for 19 houses, is the former James Laurie nursery garden situated two miles to the west of Dundee’s city centre with an attractive outlook to the south over the River Tay.
The price paid was not disclosed but is understood that Ryden was seeking offers in the region of £1 million. Roy Durie of Ryden indicated that this is less than half the value of the site at the height of the property market and said: “this sale confirms that there is demand for residential development sites from developers as several offers were received.”
