Swift Sale of Glasgow City Centre Townhouse

Ryden, for a private client, has sold an entire townhouse at 185 St. Vincent Street in Glasgow to city-based investors and developers, Land & Property Holdings plc.  Offers over £1.3 million were sought for the property.

185 St. Vincent Street was only marketed for a matter of weeks before it sold.  The property extends to 4,854 sq.ft. over four storeys and includes four spaces in the basement car park.

Tim Jacobsen, of selling agent Ryden, said, “Opportunities to purchase a complete townhouse within the city centre are rare and notwithstanding a tough financial climate, the property generated a high level of interest.  We secured an offer within weeks of marketing the property.”

Dudley Gee of Land & Property Holdings commented, “We have been looking to buy a townhouse for our own occupation in either St. Vincent Street or West George Street for some time so when this opportunity to buy 185 St. Vincent Street came up we made sure we secured it.”

Expanding company Land & Property Holdings plc will occupy the majority of the space and will put the lower ground floor up for lease.

The company’s existing offices in Hope Street are now up for sale through Gee & Co and Ryden.
