Clear Vision at Sentinel

1st August 2006

Ultralase, the UK’s largest established laser eye treatment provider, is to open their first clinic in Scotland.  Ultralase have taken a 15 year lease of the 6,063 sq ft ground floor at Sentinel, Waterloo Street, Glasgow at a rental equating to £21.50 per sq ft. Ultralase join other companies who have taken space at Sentinel including Aon, JP Morgan, ACE, British Steel Pension Fund and Morgan Stanley. Ali Abbas UK Investment Manager for Oppenheim who recently acquired the building commented:  “We are delighted to have secured Ultralase. Their presence will provide a high quality commercial use on the ground floor which further consolidates Sentinel’s existing corporate profile.  We are confident in securing an 100% let status very soon!” Ewan Cameron of joint letting agents, Ryden, confirms: “Ultralase is an ideal use for the ground floor space and is another excellent letting for the building.  We also have strong interest in the remaining first and second floors and expect to report further letting activity shortly.  The second floor is presently under offer”. The first and second floors each provide circa 9,040 sq ft and rental is being quoted at upwards of £25.00 per sq ft. Ryden, Knight Frank and James Barr acted for the landlords, Oppenheim, whilst Jones Lang LaSalle represented Ultralase.
