Fringe Festival Venue Goes Up For Sale

28th June 2006

Ryden is instructed by owners of The Roxy Art House at 2 Roxburgh Place, Edinburgh to sell the property.  Offers over £800,000 are sought.

The art house is the former Lady Glenorchy's Church and Church Hall.  The category B building is an attractive stone built church built in 1913 with the adjacent church hall built in 1909.

The Church of Scotland sold the property to the University of Edinburgh which for many years used it as examination halls.  In 2001 it was sold to The Roxy Art House and converted to an exhibition and art gallery with café, artists' studios, 150-seat theatre and stage hall.

The property provides 10,096sq.ft. (937sq.m.) on a site area of 0.085 hectares (0.21 acres).

The property has a theatre licence and a liquor licence.
