Planning consent has been granted for an 80-bed private hospital with associated car parking. The development area is within attractive woodlands on an elevated site almost half a mile south of the Royal Infirmary at Little France. The Centre for Biomedical Research, being promoted by Scottish Enterprise and Edinburgh University, is north of the site.NHS Lothian has announced that the Royal Sick Kids will relocate to Little France in around 6 to 7 years meaning this area will become Edinburgh’s medical activities hub.
