High Interest Sees Closing Date Set for the Braid Church

Ryden, acting on behalf of The Church of Scotland, has confirmed that due to considerable interest being shown in the disused Braid Church and church halls at 1 Nile Grove off Morningside Road, Edinburgh, a closing date for offers has been set for 12 noon on Tuesday 3 February 2009.
The Braid Church is a two storey classical octagon shaped church built in 1886 at a cost of £5,500. The total accommodation provided by the B-listed church and halls is 813 sq m (8,749 sq ft) and the total site area is 0.545 acres (0.221 hectares).
Significant interest has been shown in the buildings for continued religious use, as well as for other uses including education, performing arts, medical, offices, residential, leisure and restaurant.
Offers in the region of £1 million are being sought.
