High Interest Sees Closing Date Set for Kirklands at Gogar Park

Ryden, agent acting on behalf Trefoil House, has set a closing date for the charity’s property Kirklands at Gogar Park at 12 noon on 26 September 2008.
The sale is expected to raise around £2.5million; proceeds will be reinvested by the charity to enable it to continue its work in supporting people with disabilities.
The Category B Listed 1868 mansion provides 2,033 sq m (21,881 sq ft) of accommodation together with a Category B Listed lodge gatehouse and 6.6 hectares (16 acres) of attractive estates grounds. The property is currently used for institutional purposes and could be re-developed and reinstated as a single mansion house or used as an office, a nursing home or care home, a hotel or a religious building.
The property is well located as it is situated between the M8 extension to Junction 1 of the Edinburgh City Bypass and the A8 to the north, with good access to the south via the A71 at Hermiston. It sits 6 miles west of the city centre and close to Edinburgh Airport, Heriot-Watt University and the Gyle Shopping Centre.
