On behalf of Dasim Developments, Ryden has let the last suite within The Hatrack, 144 St Vincent Street, Glasgow. The entire sixth floor, extending to 1,921 sq ft, has been let to Locus, the Glasgow based firm of quantity surveyors.This transaction follows two recent lettings in the building to Greece Airways and Chambers Travel Management on the third and fifth floors respectively.Commenting on the transactions, Tim Jacobsen of the landlord’s agents, Ryden, believes that the new tenants were attracted to the building for a number of reasons. He said: “The accommodation was refurbished to an excellent quality and it provided highly attractive office suites within the Central Business District, and in a landmark city centre building. The tenants were attracted to the architecturally unique detailing, not only in the suites but in the building’s communal areas”.All three letting were secured at rentals in excess of £14.50 psf exclusive. All tenants were self-represented.Whilst there is no available accommodation within the building presently, due to the recent relocation of Associated Newspapers to Clydesdale Bank Exchange, suites in the second and seventh floors will return to the market soon. Ryden expects demand for these units to be strong.
