Freighteningly Large Distribution Depot Sold

Ryden has sold a container base at Gartsherrie Road, Coatbridge on behalf of RCL Distribution Limited. The property comprises a 48,000 sq ft distribution building, with a detached 27,000 sq ft administration block occupying a total site area of 16.5 acres. It was sold to John G Russell Transport Limited for in excess of £5 million.
The property is an established container depot and sits next to the Freightliner Terminal in Coatbridge.

It’s capable of storing heavy goods including fully loaded containers and the price paid reflects this unique attribute. The Government’s continued emphasis on rail freight will ensure this property will be of a huge benefit to John G Russell Transport as they expand. Overall, it was an excellent sale on behalf of my client.”
